My name is Rita Hanisch-Dunbar and I am the owner of Hanisch Designs, a Home Staging & Styling Studio near Sacramento, CA. I was born and raised in Germany where I found my passion for Interior Design way before I began my career at an International Retailer who expanded into North America in early 2000. This brought me to the San Francisco Bay Area in California and later further north to Sacramento.

Home Staging is a natural progression for me. These 20+ years of travels and experience in interior design, visual merchandising, project planning & management allow me to create inviting and comfortable one-of-a-kind interiors that either help sell, rent or refresh your home.

I have a great passion and appreciation for a broad range of design styles and my purpose for Hanisch Designs has always been to help make others feel more at home and inspired by the spaces they live in.

I spend much of my free time on design & realty websites, pouring through home magazines and attend trade events to stay current and focused. You will see my European roots peek through in my design aesthetic but understanding the client’s specific needs to then create either a practical and beautiful solution or prepare the house to sell for top dollar is my utmost priority.

Should you decide to work with me, you will find me to be hands on from the beginning to the end of each project. I am a casual designer who is friendly, insightful, budget conscious, and fun!
